Free Credit Scores

There are a handful of companies that offer free bureau credit scores. Usually they're packaged with a free trial of their monitoring membership services. Some of the trials last for one week and others for a month. Most of these companies allow for unlimited access to your Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion credit scores. After the free trial period is up, you can continue with the service by paying the monthly membership fee or you can cancel without any further obligation. Just be sure you print out a copy of your credit scores.

During the free trial membership period, you can play around with other features that may be offered such as credit monitoring services or email alerts. Like we've noted before, just remember to cancel the membership before the trial date is up to avoid being charged for a membership you wish to discontinue. So give these credit products and services a free test run during the free trial period. In many cases, people are reassured of the value they're getting and end up continuing with the paid monthly membership.

Remember, not all credit products and services are the same. Review exactly what you need before signing up with a certain merchant and service.

CreditReportProtect.com and the featured sponsors/paid ads on this website are NOT affiliated to the annual free credit report program. According to FTC(via ftc.gov), everyone has the right to receive a free copy of their credit report once every year from each of the three nationwide consumer reporting agencies.
